The SDC series machines provide X-axis travels of 1600, 2200 or 3200 mm, Y-axis 1100 mm and Z-axis 800 mm, with spindle-nose-to-table clearances of 170–970 mm (BT40) or 150–950 mm (BT50). Column spacing is 1300 mm. Work tables measure from 1600×1100 mm (3000 kg) up to 3100×1100 mm (4000 kg). All models feature a built-in direct-drive spindle up to 10 000 rpm, delivering 11/15 kW for BT40 or 18.5/22 kW for BT50, and taper BT40/BT50. Axis rapid traverses are 24 m/min on X, Y and Z; cutting feeds reach 10 m/min. Servo motors by Mitsubishi (7.5, 4.5, 4.5 kW) or Fanuc (7.0, 4.0, 4.0 kW) power the axes. The automatic tool changer offers 30-station disc for BT40 or 32-station chain for BT50 in an arm-type layout, handling tools up to Ø70 mm (Ø150 mm without adjacent), 350 / 400 mm length, and 7 / 16 kg weight with a 1.6 s tool-to-tool change. Total power requirement is 40 kVA, with 5–7 bar air.
